The tradition of the FIREWORKS exhibitions started 40 years ago. Held every two years, FIREWORKS has come to symbolize the best in contemporary clay and glass by FUSION members and is displayed in galleries throughout Ontario.

I painted “Pave Paradise” 30”x40” in anticipation of my solo exhibition intended to educate and encourage the public to plant native plants. It was also shown at the 2020 TD Thor Wealth Management Juried Exhibition: “Quest for the Environment”

Mount Sir Donald 24”x48” has been juried into this exhibition. This work was painted for an exhibition celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Ontario Society of Artists. I am so proud to be an elected member.

An exhibition in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Ontario Society of Artists. This is a curated exhibition with works selected by this public gallery's curator to fit her vision of "Ambient Landscapes".

There will be an opening on September 10th. Unfortunately, I am unable to be present for the celebration. It is sure to be an excellent show! Enjoy!

November 5-25 2021, this exhibition will open on Nov 5 with an opening gallery reception on Saturday November 6 from 2-4 pm. at the Queen Elizabeth Park Community Cultural Centre in Oakville, Ontario.

The 16.7 foot wide polyptych, "Come Butterfly! It's Late. We've Miles To Go Together" will hang for the first time. This work was created for a solo exhibition that was cancelled for Covid-19.

Two In A Crowd 30”x36” is hanging in this first exhibition of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the Ontario Society Of Artists. The gallery is easy to find just off the Paris Road south exit from highway 403 in Brantford.

“Pave Paradise“ has now been juried into the Anthropocene-themed exhibition at QuestArt. Interesting to note is that the Edward Burtynsky Anthropocene exhibition at the AGO gave me the inspiration to mount the multimedia exhibition which of course was consequently cancelled for Covid-19.

“2020 TD Thor Wealth Management Juried Exhibition: Quest for the Environment” exhibition was open to artists across Canada to bring quality artwork to the central Ontario area.

The Ontario Society of Artists has been mounting exhibitions of members' works since the society began in 1872. OSA is the longest continually operating art society in Canada. The first exhibition was in 1873. Every year since then, the catalogue for the exhibition is deposited with the Government of Ontario Archives as a record of this storied artists' society. The catalogue for this exhibition will be available. Please contact me if you wish to have a copy. The cost is around $20.

Due to Covid 19, in 2020 the exhibition is being held online.

I am so very proud to be a part of this art group. My painting, Bergamot Haze* shown here and in the online gallery, is 30"x30" on gallery canvas, edges painted black, suitable for hanging as is. *Bergamot Haze shows the glow of masses of magenta pink bergamot blooms over the cultivated native meadow in July.

A Solo Exhibition by Cheryl Bailey OSA concerning native meadows, native plants and the imperative need to vastly increase the use of these plants to increase the native pollinator populations in a time of biodiversity crisis. "Aster Glow" 36"x30" was selected for the 55th Annual Juried Exhibition of the Etobicoke Art Group. All are welcome. It is a wonderfully strong exhibition. The jurors were Susan Macrae OSA and Janet Hendershot OSA.

The 20th Annual ArtWorks Oakville Juried Show will exhibit thirty works of art in the beautiful QE Park CCC gallery. The jurors are Matthew Highland, Director/Curator of Oakville Galleries, and Mandy Salter, Director/Curator of Art Gallery of Mississauga. Prizes will be awarded at the Opening Reception on May 2, 2019 from 7-9. All Welcome!

Every other year the Ontario Society of Artists presents an exhibition of work by members who were newly elected by the society. Cheryl Bailey was elected in 2018. Window in the Woods 24"Hx36"W will hang in this exhibition. It is for sale.
The opening reception is from 1-3 pm on Saturday April 27th 2019.

Until Valentines Day, a group of 12 Ontario Society of Artists(OSA) elected members will exhibit approximately 50 landscape works. The artists are:

In cooperation with the Haliburton School of Art and Design, the McMichael Canadian Art Collection is hosting the group exhibition "Progressions VIII". "Early September in the Meadow" by Cheryl Bailey OSA is part of the exhibition which consists of 12x16" landscape paintings by emerging and professional artists from across Ontario. The show is hanging on the walls between Gallery 1 and Gallery 2 - The McMichael Community Gallery.
The gallery is open Tues-Sunday 10-4 during the winter.

This will be an exhibition in the Hall Gallery at Neilson Park Creative Centre to showcase the Etobicoke Art Group to the community of Etobicoke and the Greater Toronto Area. My painting titled Out The Door 36"x36" will be shown.

Opening Reception is on Thursday October 18th from 6:30-9 pm.

This is an annual juried art exhibition that is open to artists from all over Ontario. Cheryl Bailey has 2 paintings juried into the show. Cardinal Under Cover is 24"x30" and In The Hills is 18"x48". Pathways is the 2018 Haliburton Convocation Exhibition for Fleming College Haliburton School of Art and Design. The Exhibition pieces are provided by the masters level artists of the Advanced Individual Studies program underway at the time of the exhibition.

ArtWorks Oakville Juried Exhibition is a highly anticipated show held in the QEPCCC Art Gallery in Oakville. It is a regional exhibition with entries from GTA and southern Ontario. My painting "Mount Robson in Summer" 36"x48" will be shown. The Opening Reception will be held from 7-9 pm on Thursday May 10th. Refreshments are served.

"Cardinal Under Cover" 24"x30" was selected for the 54th Annual Juried Show for the Etobicoke Art Group. I am always pleased to be juried into this exhibition as this is a top notch art group with many professional artists. Prizes will be awarded at the Opening Reception and refreshments will be served. Many works are for sale. Plan a visit to come out and enjoy the art!

Kingsway-Lambton Art Show and Sale is a fundraiser for community charities to which I am pleased to have been invited. 33 juried Canadian artists will be present with their work. An annual juried exhibition open to entries from across the province of Ontario. Cheryl Bailey will be exhibiting 2 paintings this year. Autumn in the Meadow and The Mountain in Town. The exhibition is part of the Headwaters Arts Festival which also includes a Blues Party.

This celebration evening is the kick-off event for three weeks of the Headwaters Arts Festival. Although the exhibition closes on Oct 1, the Festival continues until Oct 9.

The artists were asked to enter work that reflected their feelings and thoughts about what Canada means to them. I entered "Teach Your Children Well" which is my response to the mosque shootings in Quebec City in January 2017. The message is strong but so are my feelings. . As we sow, so shall we reap. What the world needs now is a strengthening of the common personal values that make a society function. Teach your children well at home as well as at school.

The Neilson Park Creative Centre presents their annual juried exhibition "IMPACT 2017". "The Mountain in Town" is an abstraction of Cascade Mountain which makes itself part of the town of Banff, AB

This year’s May/June date offers members an end-of-the-year choice of the best in their artistic accomplishment in classes, workshops, juried shows, various other exhibitions and ultimately in their own working space.
In honour of this exhibition, there will be a vote for a Viewers’ Choice award this year.
The winner will be announced at the reception, Wednesday June 7. Bar and appetizers will be served.

This is the 53rd annual juried exhibition of works by members of the prestigious Etobicoke Art Group. In addition to the Headwaters Gallery, the Alton Mill is home to the Bartlett Gallery and numerous artists studios which are open to the public. There is a small cafe, boutique shops, historical artifacts of the Mill, a mill pond and hiking trail. A great outing for the family.

Progressions V has arrived at the McMichael Canadian Collection in Kleinberg.

Progressions V consists of 29 12"x16" landscape paintings by 29 artists. The works, which were painted in the Pine Cottage at the McMichael Canadian Collection in Kleinberg, will also be shown in 5 other locations in Ontario.

John Leonard RCA organized this exhibition of work. Many of the participating artists have been mentored by John and we are grateful for his involvement.

My painting 'Burnt' abstractly considers the devastation created by wild fires in the Okanagan Lake valley. The painting which is done in the manner of the current series with black textured underpainting, is an echo of my previous Okanagan Lake series.

The closing date for Progressions V is undetermined at this time.

The McMichael Canadian Art Collection is hosting a closing reception for Progressions V on Sunday May 1st at 12:30 pm. Light refreshments will follow closing remarks by John Leonard RCA and a representative of the Gallery.

After a successful opening "Meet the Artist" on February 4th, @Dragonfly Arts on Broadway is hosting a solo exhibition by Cheryl Bailey. Paintings will be available on the Feature Wall in beautiful downtown Orangeville, Ontario for the rest of the month of February. Dragonfly Arts is located at 189 Broadway Ave. on the north side of the street, near the corner of 1st Street. Look for the large moose sculpture out on the sidewalk.

The painting by Cheryl Bailey, titled "Burnt", considers an abstracted vision of the area in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia that has been hit by devastating fires in recent years. "Burnt" crosses over from the previous Okanagan Lake series to the current series with black textured underpainting.

I am pleased to announce that my painting "Done for the Day" has been accepted into the Neilson Park Creative Centre Juried Show "IMPACT 2015." Please join me at the opening reception on Tuesday July 14 from 7-9pm. All are welcome. Lots of beautiful artwork to see. This juried exhibition will feature paintings, drawings, prints, photography, sculpture, calligraphy, fibre arts and more. The exhibition runs until August 6, 2015

Sir Sandford Fleming College-Haliburton School of the Arts hosts the group exhibition "Elements" which opens in Haliburton, Ontario on May 15, 2015 and runs until June 15, 2015

"Exploring Fields" is a travelling group exhibition. The works are on paper. The first stop for this exhibition is Sir Sandford Fleming College/Haliburton School of the Arts in Haliburton, Ontario.

Progressions IV is a travelling exhibition of 16 12"x16" landscape paintings by 16 artists. The works will be shown in several locations in Ontario. The first exhibition will open at the McMichael Canadian Collection in Kleinberg on Feb 28, 2015. A reception will be held on March 22 at 12 noon - 2 pm in the Founders' Lounge. John Leonard will deliver comments at 12 pm. The McMichael segment of the travelling exhibition is now closed.

The Sir Sandford Fleming College-Haliburton School of the Arts segment of the Progressions IV tour is open from May 11 until Jun 15th 2015.

Etobicoke Art Group 51st Annual Juried Exhibition

The charge to the jurors of this exhibition states that "they will select works of a range of media and subject matter which show technical excellence, originality in content and composition, and that extra 'intangible' creative spark" . First , second and third place awards will be presented. Jurors' awards may also be presented.

The Jurors this year are Warren Hoyano and Janice Mason Steeves.

Both of the entries by Cheryl Bailey were accepted to this exhibition. They are titled "Near Canmore" and "The Straight and Narrow."

The opening reception will be held on Wednesday evening May 6 at 7:30 pm. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome.

Vintage Cultivation for a Native Meadow (30"x40" Acrylic on Canvas) will be on exhibition from Mar 28 until April 18. Opening reception will be on Thursday April 2 2015 from 7 - 9 pm.
